Ok seriously like there aren't a whole lot of ski mountains in Ireland so why are there irish athletes competing in the Winter Olympics. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great, but I just don't know how they can compete at a world class level coming from a place that is as flat as a pancake. They are presently competing in four olympic events, there is a women's 2-person bobsled team, one guy then from County Wexford is then competing in the skeleton sled event. He is actually competing on the track where the accident occurred during the training. We also have Slalom skiers and finally we have people in cross country skiing. It is really all quite funny and will probably be even funnier when we see the results!
But what is by far the funniest of it all are the stories about the athletes or the irish supporters corrupting the people in the neighborhood as they are making so much noise at night in the irish pubs there. This topic i will discuss in my next blog so until then, Later.
