How is this possible???

Believe it or not, my mom can hardly use the computer. I don't mean that she sometimes doesn't understand how to get into some program, but that she literally needs to be told how to hold a mouse. Trying to show her the art of the double click was like trying to teach an elephant to read. It was futile and frustrating. Somehow, though, she has begun teaching herself how to get on the computer and send emails. About once a week I get an email from her saying something along the lines of " Hi Abigail, this is your mom. I'm just testing out the computer. No need to reply. Love Mom." It is all very sweet, but sometimes it is unbelievable to me that we are living in 2010, and she still has almost no idea how to use this technology that has been in our house since 1995! My father, who is a few years older than her, can use the computer with ease, so I don't know how far her age gap argument carries. Oh well, at least she is learning. :)
