Energy Drinks
Energy Drinks are a huge problem with teens today. They are under the impression that they can stay up as late as they want to and can just compensate in the morning with a quick energy drink that is loaded to the teeth with harmful and addictive chemicals, along with huge amounts of caffeine. Most of these drinks are readily available to anyone who walks into a convenience store. Some of the more potent energy drinks do have age restrictions, for example Spike Energy. Spike Energy is one of the only energy drinks I know of that has its own warning label on it and you must be 18 to buy. This is only one brand, which does not make a difference when there are hundreds of other brands that market the same product. On top massive amounts of caffeine in these drinks, you also need to look at the side effects of consuming large amounts of caffeine, most notably, depression.
